Smash Sunday 17

April 30 @ 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Smash Sundays are Terre Haute’s featured Smash Bros. weekly!

Payouts will be Winner-Take-All unless otherwise stated.

$5 Venue Fee
Tentative Schedule:
– 12PM – Venue Opens
– 2:30 PM – Smash 4 doubles starts ($1 bracket fee per person)
– 4:30 PM – Melee bracket starts ($1 bracket fee)
– 5:30 PM – Smash 4 bracket starts ($1 bracket fee)

———————-GENERAL RULES———————-

– All tournaments will be Double Elimination. Each set will be best 2 out of 3, except for winners finals, losers finals, and grand finals, which will be best 3 out of 5.
– Please bring your own controller and keep track of it.
– No games will ever be decided by Sudden Death. In the case of a time-out, the player with the most stocks remaining will be considered the winner. If the stocks are tied, the player with the lowest percentage will be considered the winner. If stocks AND percentages are tied, a 1 stock 3 minute tiebreaker will be played with the same characters on the same stage.
– A player may not pick a stage that they have previously won on unless it is agreed to by both parties (MDSR)
– No Gentleman’s clause–tournament stages only.
– Pausing at any time during a match will result in the forfeit of a stock with NO exceptions.
– Players that fail to desync their wireless controllers run the risk of disqualification for stalling a bracket.

2 stock, 6 minutes.
All DLC characters are legal.

Mii Fighters are LEGAL, with the following guidelines:
– Equipment is Banned
– Mii Fighters may use any set of special moves, so long as they show their opponent what which move does at their opponent’s request
– Mii Fighters must be the DEFAULT SIZE (when creating your Mii Fighter, please use one of the Default Miis)

Stage Striking
– First stage is decided by (Rock Paper Scissors) best of 1. – – – Winner may choose to either strike a stage first or select a port first.
– First Player strikes 1 stage
– Second Player strikes 2 stages
– First Player strikes 1 stage
– Last stage left is played on

After Game 1
– Winner bans 1 stage
– Loser picks which stage will be played on next
– The winner picks a new character or stays, then the loser picks a new character or stays.
– Dave’s Stupid Rule is in effect at this tournament.

Starter stages are:
– Battlefield(1)
– Smashville
– Town & City
– Final Destination(2)
– Lylat

Counterpick stages are:
– Dreamland*
– Omega Stages (Midgar, Suzaku, Wily)**

(1) If BF is struck, DL is also struck, and vice versa.
(2) If FD is struck, Omegas are also struck, and vice versa.
